Friends you know I love DIY and essential oils. So I put them together and had so much fun making these dishwasher tablets. I have slowly started the journey to switch and ditch and know first hand how overwheliming it seems. Trust me when I say that if you do it slowly and switch when you run out of things it can be super fun !!!
I shared this reciepe over on my instagram but wanted to make sure you had the recipe at your disposal for when you get close to running out of dishwasher tablets/soap.

What you will need:
- Silicon mold
- Glass bowl
- Messuring cups
- Metal spoon
- Glass jar for storage
- Super washing soap
- Baking Soda
- Salt
- Essentail oils
- Lemon juice
Ingredients:
1/2c Super washing Soap
1/2c Baking soda
1/4c Salt
1/4c Lemon juice
1/2c Water
35 Drops lemon essential oil
10 Drops Thieves essential oil
Instructions:
In a large glass bowl combine all the dry ingredients ( super washing soap, baking soda and salt) stir to get out any lumps and to combine together.
Add in wet ingredients. I start with the essential oils, and slowly add lemon juice and end with the water. You will want to mixture to be wet but moldable. ( if it is to wet it will take longer to dry)
Spoon the mixture into the silcone mold. Let it air dry 1-3hrs. Once dry removed and store in a glass jar.
Side note: To prevent spots on glasses I always add vinegar to the jet dry spot in the dishwasher. It will also help with hardwater.
