Here’s what’s inside my Livi’s First Period Survival Kit…
1. The Bag
This wet/dry bag is SO cute and practical!
The 2 pockets- one for clean, dry pads, panties and other and one dirty panties.
2. Period Panties
Let’s face it friends we all have them even if we don’t admit to it. In reality some girls will have periods that start out light and some will be heavy. Either way an extra pair of period panties should be the first thing in your kit!
3. Feminine Products
These petite pads are the perfect size and made of organic cotton that is absorbent enough for teens. I love this brand for myself and feel confident knowing I made the best choice for my daughter.
4. Hand Purification
Get cleans hands anytime anywhere. You and your kiddos should already be carrying this around ! The bonus to this is it has peppermint oil in it which is great for headaches and will give you a lil burst of energy.
5. Mag Phos
Cramps are likely to happen. Usually a day or so after your start your period. Its always best to be prepared with natural, emergency pain management! I have always liked to use Mag Phos cell salts for body cramps.
6. Essential Oil Roll-On
( Helps with Period Cramps )
Make this and thank me later!
8 drops Copaiba
3 drops black pepper
3 drops clove
4 drops cdb (optional)
1 oz glass roller bottle
Put oils in the roller and then top with carrier oil of your choice (coconut, jojoba ect) Roll on lower belly and back.
The best part about this pain relief option is that your daughter can apply it for cramps as often as she needs it!
7. Chocolate/Candy/Snack
Who is a chocolate addict like my girls and I ?
Why not send a little treat in your daughter’s First Period Survival Kit? We love mini Kind Dark Chocolate and sea salt bars! Make sure to add one or two in the Period Survival Kit so your daughter has a much-needed chocolate and a healthy sank wherever needs it.
8. Sweet Note
Be sure to include a sweet card or note filled with words of inspiration and encouragement form you to your daughter. This is an emotional time for you and her even if neither of you show it. Take this time to share with her a simple note to let her know how much you love her.
Now lets all go and cry because out sweet baby girls are growing up and there is absolutely nothing we can do to stop it !
