The Coeur d’Alene invited us for a complimentary stay in exchange for an honest review. As always, all opinions are 100% our own!
Our family loves weekend getaways! Most of our favorite family memories are made during those short trips away adventuring together. Today, I am sharing all about our recent road trip to The Coeur d’Alene Resort in Northern Idaho!
Olivia was instantly impressed by the carousel door to the lobby and Everly was in awe of the huge fish tank.
These fish made it so fun to walk through the lobby everyday !
Onsite & Local Actives
We started off our stay by getting out and stretching our legs. The Coeur d’Alene Resort itself sits right on the edge of lake Coeur d’alene , steps from shopping, dining, hiking, playgrounds and a short drive to our family fav the Silverwood Theme Park. After our trip I can easily say that The Coeur d’Alene Resort is in best location!
On our first night in town we went out exploring. The resort is right in the heart of down town Coeur d’alene. First stop was the shops, they are literally steps outside The Coeur d’Alene Resort. I don’t know how it happened but the first store we stumbled upon was the candy store. It was the cutest lil place and of course the girls talked dad into buying all the sour gummies. In true vaca style we followed that up with an ice cream treat.
As much as we loved exploring the downtown area. At this point the girlied were bursting with sugar energy and we still had time before dinner so we decided to head back to the resort for a dip in the pool. The Coeur d’Alene Resort indoor pool was fantastic and we took full advantage of during our stay. The girls had the best time splashing around. Olivia and I loved the mermaid tiles!
Some of the other activities that The Coeur d’Alene Resort offer are Lake cruises, Spa, paddle board & kayak rentals. As if that’s not enough there is a golf course with a floating green. We aren’t golfers, but if you are you must check out the course.
Our Room
We had a beautiful room overlooking lake Coeur d’Alene! I could wake up to that view every morning. Our room was so bright and inviting with two full size beds and a fireplace. The girls loved sharing a bed and after a day spent driving, exploring and splashing in the pool they both slept really well. It was nice to have the double vanity in the bathroom and the comfy robes. The room was super comfortable and just the rights size for our family.
The girls like to wake up on the early side. Thankfully The Coeur d’Alene Resort has plenty to see and do right out side the front doors. I would get them dressed and we would head outside to explore and burn off some energy before breakfast. They had so much fun walking around looking for all the mudgy the moose statues.
Dinning
Before making the short drive to the Silverwood Theme Park on Saturday. We filled our bellies up for breakfast at The Dockside. They had so many great options and everything was so delicious so we ate there for dinner also! The Coeur d’Alene Resortdoes have other restaurants and cafes to choose from, including Beverly’s , Taphouse Unchained and The Cedars. It was so convenient to have restaurants right at the resort.
You wont want to miss out on this magical unicorn treat The Gooey !
The The Coeur d’Alene Resort also hosts really fun events through out the year, you can check them out here. We plan to make it back for Taste of CDA in August and of course to visit Silverwood Theme Park.
We had the BEST time at The Coeur d’Alene Resort and Northern Idaho we can’t wait to go back. Please let me know if you have any questions. I’d love to help!
Smile,
Kayla
